Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 3, 2026

DRS Pool & Spa ("DRS," "we," "us," or "our") builds, remodels, opens and closes inground swimming pools in Southeast Michigan. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit drspools.com or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, call us and ask — the number is at the bottom.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in a form on our website, call us, email us, or visit our showroom, you may give us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your property address or the city you live in
  • Details about the project you are considering — the type of pool, whether it is a new build or a remodel, and anything else you choose to tell us

You do not have to give us any of this. But we cannot schedule an on-site estimate without knowing where the property is, and we cannot call you back without a number.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our systems and the services we use record standard technical information:

  • Your IP address and general location, usually accurate only to the city level
  • Your browser and device type
  • Which pages you viewed, how long you spent on them, and which page you came from
  • The date and time of your visit

Information from other sources

If you contact us through Google, Facebook or Instagram, those platforms pass us the information you submitted there. If you call the number listed on our Google Business Profile, Google records that a call was placed. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.

2. How we use your information

We use what we collect to:

– Respond to your inquiry and schedule a free on-site estimate

– Prepare and discuss a proposal for your project

– Carry out work you have hired us to do, including ordering materials and pulling permits

– Send you project updates, scheduling information and invoices

– Send occasional email about our services, seasonal reminders and completed projects, if you have agreed to receive it

– Understand which pages of our site people find useful, so we can improve them

– Measure whether our advertising is working

– Keep records we are required to keep, and resolve disputes

What we do not do  We do not sell your personal information. We never have. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies — small files stored by your browser. Some are necessary for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used, and some support our advertising.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how visitors move through the site — which pages get read, where people leave, which sources send us traffic. This is reported to us in aggregate. You can opt out across all websites using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising

We advertise on Google and on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To do that, our site carries:

  • The Meta Pixel, which tells us when someone who saw one of our ads later visited the site or submitted a form, and allows us to show ads to people who have visited before.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags, which do the same for our Google campaigns.

This means that after visiting our site you may see DRS Pool & Spa ads elsewhere on the internet. That is remarketing, and you can turn it off:

  • Google ad settings: myadcenter.google.com
  • Meta ad preferences: in the settings of your Facebook or Instagram account
  • Industry-wide opt-out: optout.aboutads.info

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work properly if you block all of them.

4. When we share your information

We share personal information only in these situations:

Service providers who work on our behalf

We use outside companies to run parts of our business — website hosting, our customer relationship system where inquiries are stored, email delivery, analytics, and advertising platforms. They may handle your information in order to provide that service to us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Subcontractors and suppliers

Building a pool involves excavation, concrete, electrical and other licensed trades. If you hire us, we share what a subcontractor needs to do their part of your project — typically your name, the property address, and the scope of work.

Permitting authorities

We pull the permits for your project. That requires submitting your name, property address and project details to your municipality or county. These submissions may become public records.

Financing partners

If you ask us about financing, we may refer you to a third-party lender. We will tell you before we pass anything along, and once you are dealing with a lender directly, their privacy policy governs what they do with your information — not this one.

Legal reasons

We will disclose information if the law requires it, if we receive a valid legal request, or if we need to protect our rights, our property, or someone's safety.

A change in our business

If DRS is ever sold or merged, customer information would transfer as part of the business. We would post notice on this page before that happened.

5. Text messages

If you give us a mobile number and agree to receive text messages from us, we will use it to send you things like appointment confirmations, scheduling updates and project messages.

No mobile information collected for text messaging will be sold, rented, or shared with any third party for their marketing purposes. Consent to receive text messages from DRS Pool & Spa is never shared with anyone. This exclusion applies to all third parties, except service providers who help us deliver the messages themselves.

Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything from us. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP, and you can get help by replying HELP. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

6. Email

If you have agreed to hear from us by email, every message we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly. We may still email you about a project you have hired us for — those are not marketing messages and they are not covered by an unsubscribe.

7. How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as it is useful, in case you come back to us — pool projects are often considered for a year or more before they go ahead. Customer records are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and section 9 explains how.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who at DRS can see it and using reputable providers who encrypt data in transit. No website or system is completely secure, and we cannot promise that information sent over the internet is immune from interception.

9. Your choices

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
  • Stop sending you marketing email or text messages

Email or call us using the details in section 13. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are first, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.

Some states give residents additional rights. If you live in one of them, those rights apply to you and we will honor them.

10. Other websites

Our site links to other companies — manufacturers whose products we install, financing partners, and our pages on Google, Facebook and Instagram. Once you follow a link away from drspools.com, you are on someone else's website and their privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.

11. Children

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing the text.
